| RoHS Directive
The European Union Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS) restricts
the use of lead (Pb) and other harmful substances in
electrical and electronic equipment.
The aim of this restriction is simple: to remove a
total of six substances from electrical and electronic
equipment (EEE), thereby contributing to the protection
of human health and the environment.
JCM reached its goal to switch the production to RoHS conformity!
Since July 1st, 2006 all of JCM Germany's main products are in compliance with Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS). In order to distinguish our RoHS compliant products from non RoHS compliant ones JCM either marks the main products with an extra RoHS sticker or we put the information on the identification plate. Carton boxes leave our warehouse with RoHS stickers so that customers can easily identify the RoHS compliant products.
Please be aware that some part numbers of our products and spare parts have changed. For details please contact our sales team at sales@jcm-germany.com.
Products and carton boxes are labelled in the following
way to identify RoHS compliant JCM products:
WEEE Directive
The European Union Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste of
Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) applies to
companies that manufacture, sell, distribute, recycle
or treat electrical and electronic equipment. So, JCM's
products are also affected.
This Directive aims to reduce the waste arising from
electrical and electronic equipment and to improve the
environmental performance of all those involved in the
life cycle of these products.
JCM is dedicated to minimizing the impact our products
have on the environment and is in compliance with the
WEEE Directive since August 13, 2005.
All
our finished products are labelled with a crossed out
dustbin sticker.
Since
August 2005 JCM is already registered at the German
Clearing House (EAR) for B2B (Business to Business)
products. According to WEEE our products fall in category
9.
