 JCM has set the Gaming Industry standard with their WBA almost 10 years ago and they are now presenting the UBA as the next generation leader.
The new UBA will be officially presented to the American public at the G2E in October, while the European manufacturers will first be officially introduced to the new product at the Eelex in December.
Designed to accept multiple Countries´ currencies in one version of software, the UBA comes complete with the latest sensing technology, utilizing magnetic and optical sensors. Infrared and green LEDs, phototransistors, UV, reflective, transparency and bar code sensor comprise the UBA´s optical sensing package. The UBA is secure, with an anti-pullback roller device that prevents “fishing”.
The UBA has an automatic centering mechanism that guides the banknotes in the bill path regardless of how the bill was inserted, increasing acceptance and eliminating the need for additional bill guides for banknotes from 62 to 85mm.
Next, a new, high impact, high durable plastic cash box is backward and forward compatible with all WBA units currently in use. There is also a viewing window that allows the last bill stacked to be seen without having to open the cash box.
The automatic retry feature will re-scan a bill up to three times before rejecting, increasing acceptance rates. The UBA incorporates on-board memory within the cash box that independently records all complete transactions. Last a USB download port in the front of the unit allows for quick and easy program downloads without having to remove the unit from the slot machine.
The obvious convenience to the manufacturers resulting from a product with the same hardware for any banknote up to 85mm in width and for the operators who will be able to change currency or upgrades through a fast USB port, will make the UBA a favourite in the fast changing gaming industry.
